Is this a normal headstamp for a normal Ball Python?

This ball python was sold to me as a normal.
It has a strange head stamp though. Is that normal for a normal? Could it have something else in it.
I m happy with a normal, that's what I bought it for. I am just interested. And this snakes genetic history is bugging me a bit.

I have also questioned this snake in the thread below for a different reason. The scales seem different, much smother to the touch than all my others.

That looks pretty normal to me! There can be variation of shade even within wild type ball pythons and it looks like you got one with a bit of a lighter headstamp!

I'm not seeing any blushing/flaming anywhere else and the color looks pretty normal even though that headstamp looks a lot like lucifer and some other fire complex genes. Sometimes normals just have brighter headstamps, so that's probably what it is. If it starts looking especially bright as it ages, could be something fire complex with low expression.

As far as the scales, it may be a lot of things. Something to do with the weight perhaps? Even though it is fairly small for its age, it looks really plump, possibly went off food for a long time and recently has been binging? Shedding more frequently in the process? You should know more after you have had it a while.
