Tractor Supply Doggy Bag Food Smaller Chunks
Well just the other day I went and picked a few bags of Doggy Bag from TSC and found out that the size of chunks is now a lot smaller. I thought maybe it was a bad batch but went to a near by city with another TSC and the same issue. The problem I am having is I use 1/2 hardware cloth and the food now falls through the mesh :(. I'm in California and want to know if anyone else noticed this change to the Doggy Bag food?

I'm in Idaho here, I also noticed the change with the last bag I bought. Like you I assumed a bad batch but maybe they changed the food itself. Which sucks because I also use 1/2 hardware to feed. I have found packing it tight into the hopper works initially but if the mice figure it out, which several have, they easily just remove all the pieces from the hopper and scatter it all over the tank. It's too bad no one nearby sells Mazuri rodent food, or I would really consider swapping to it now.

Make a new hopper or line the old one with 1/4" wire. The doggy food with the smaller size has a different product number. Ask your TSC to look it up. Tell them you want the large breed food.
