    If you get a BCI, adopt one. These are the corn snakes of the boid world and there are tons of homeless snakes who could use a good place to live. The herp market is flooded with common boas today and I think there are far too many in irresponsible hands.

    Actually, the biggest problem with ball pythons is that they are still commonly imported and thats where the majority of problems originate. I don't hear of or see too many abandoned ball pythons....alot of it has to do with the fact that they do not get as big as BCIs, so they are less likely to be dumped into a foster home or shelter.
