Where I was this weekend (horses)
I went to the midwest horse fair which is held in Madison, Wisconsin every year. If anyone here who loves horses is anywhere near there... GO! You will see some of the most awesome horses on the face of the earth.

Here's one of my favorite horses there. He's a friesian stallion. Excuse the shining eye.

I could not deal with all of that hair. Dixie's is long, but jeez. Seems like it would get in the way of your hands and the reins when you ride.

He is a perdy boy though, I love Fresians. I think there is one out at my school that this woman boards and rides dressage with him. Might be a Morgan though, since he doesn't have much feathering. She's a little too heavy to be riding that horse anyway, though... ;)

Oh, a horse can never have too much hair. My favorite horses are friesians, gypsy cobs, icelandics, and anything else baroque and hairy. :)

LOL...yep! I used to ride/show Andalusians...I think I spent more time on mane/tail maintenance than in the saddle!

*drool* andalusians... I took a gazillion pictures of this dapple grey andalusian stallion with his mane past his shoulders. I'd post them, but there was a rider on him and I don't want to post pics with people..

Argh, I would kill for that Freisian!
I went to a little horse expo/auction last sunday at the fairgrounds; the horses were selling for nice high prices. Mostly QHs, but there were a few paints that I was drooling over.

    I'd consider it too. :p

Have you ever seen a liberty class/presentation? It's when they take the horse into the ring, take the halter off, and let him run. It's awesome. Well, that friesian was in the liberty presentation.

All ye who love big hairy horses, take a look at this gorgeous hunk of horseflesh. http://www.gypsyhorses.com/Horses/tyson3.htm
