    First Blood
I opened the super zebra's cage to change his water today, and figured we could do a short handling exercise.
I held my fist out for him to smell and he promptly bit my knuckles and wrapped my hand and wrist. It bled more than I would have expected.
There ensued a Benny Hill theme song worthy scene of me trying to unwrap him, him trying to find a more safe position to kill me, and me trying not to bleed on the rug while shouting for my wife to bring the camera.
Alas, she did not arrive before I got him unwrapped.
I kept him out for 5-10 additional minutes, using a small hook to disinterest him from the notion of attempting to swallow my arm sideways.

Smug face covered in MrBrightside's blood:

I just listened to the Benny hill theme song. I can just imagine you and that snake all wrapped up together. Yes I'm still laughing at you.:P

It's humbling when you have to take a breath and think about how you have just been defeated by a critter with a brain the size of a couple sunflower seeds, who is utilizing the ONE technique at their disposal, which you fully knew might happen.
I think my favorite part is when they wrap their tail around something to "anchor" you.

    Round Two- I cheated
I admit, I took the cowards route today (gloves), but he did calm down somewhat after about ten minutes of S-neck/striking and started looking around.
He struck the glove a couple of times, and tried to execute my middle finger (fitting) by constricting but lost interest quickly.
I suppose we start hook training now.

I guess I should have followed your lead and used a glove too Bright. I had to do some cage maintenance and I guess my young olive python was a little upset that I disturbed him. I have no idea how he tagged me in 2 places with one bite. :)
