63 days and nothing?
My very first clutch of eggs is now at 63 days and nothing happens..... I'm getting worried?!
The eggs are in a high end incubator at 88 Fahrenheit (31 Celcius) and 99% humidity. Temp and humidity are spot on and stable.... Now, when I put them in the incubator 2 months ago, there were perfect veins in all 8 eggs. No boobs or anything. When I candled them a week ago I could clearly see something in the eggs, I could see the veins and a fairly large airchamber.
There is no mold and on the outside they still look perfect. When I candle them now at 63 days, the airchambers got smaller and the baby's are definitely bigger than a week ago. One thing that might be odd is that the eggs have not dimpled or shrunk as I see on several pictures. They are still perfectly round.
Now, my gut feeling is to leave them alone and still be patient.... Or should I cut them?? How odd is it for them to not stat hatching at 63 days?
Anyone? :-)

I have come to expect AT LEAST 65 days incubating, even at 88°f. I feel the commonly talked about averages of both time before laying and egg incubation are low. What I can say is that the times I have cut eggs I have only interfered and not helped, and at least no apparent long term harm has come to my snakes, but I am now more committed to the "leave them the heck alone camp." I get worried when most but not all pip, so then I've cut the stragglers and they've ended up coming out before everything is all neatly tucked in.
So I hope all goes well for you, and when I'm in your position, I now take a nice long hike, far, far away from my eggs. Good luck!

Leave them alone, I do not recommend to cut until either the first animal pips or you know for certain the number of days it takes for your animals to pip at a certain temps.
I incubate at 89 and mine still take 58/60 days.

Thank you both....! I will sit back and try to relax.... :-)

I'm in the same camp...leave them alone, be patient! They're fine, just not ready yet.

They started pipping today! :-)
