Well, it's done now & I hope that works, but with BPs & many other newly-acquired snakes, it just makes them more confused, afraid & unlikely to focus on eating. They desperately need to feel safe where they live, & they sure don't understand being suddenly upended, or the handling that goes with it, but good luck anyway.

Update rang reptile store still won’t eat for them either, they are going to try live , refused Multis, rats and mice. Guess I won’t be seeing it for a while :(

Almost one year update wow how times flies.

So the breeder the shop got him from on my behalf was feeding on live which is a no no in the uk. After the shop took him in to get him feeding he refused for for a long time frozen thawed. They didn’t end up trying live as it wouldn’t solve the problem as feeding live is a no no in uk.

They had to assist feed for a while then gradually get him onto feeding alone. He has had 8 weeks of solid feeding on his own and now back with my self and so far I have fed him once.

Trick they got him to take alone was naturally letting the rodent thaw to room temp then placing in a food bag and dipping in boiled water to rapid heat the outside. I am talking like 1-2 seconds dunk.

Here’s hoping to many successful feeds.

Just out of curiosity, did any of you guys take the external temperature of the thawed rodent before offering it?
