    Stray kitten
Last night as I was tending to our barn cat who is fixed I saw a little black blur. When it ran by me again I realized it was a little black kitten. The wife and I tried to catch it but it was really fast and good at hiding. We set out some live traps with food and a couple hours later had it trapped. She's right on the edge of being feral but just young enough she can be worked with. She got a bath to remove any fleas. When she is up to size if she isn't already she will be getting fixed. If she proves to be social we will find a home for her, if not she may become a barn cat. So looks like I have another animal to add to the list of working with to socialize.

    Congrats!

There is nothing in this world so rewarding or enjoyable as a kitten.

Kittens at 2 lb can be neutered. I would take him to the vet and start on his shots and test for FIV. For a stray, he actually does not too bad at all. Even at this age, with some work, they can socialized no problem. Our Gizmo was about 2-3 months old when we adopted him from the shelter. He was borderline feral: his interactions with humans at that point were veterinary staff poking needles in him and medicating him for an illness and mange that lingered for the entire time he was there. He hissed at people, cringed when you pet him, and hated being picked up. About 2 days of being in his home and some work (with toys), he quickly became such a loving cat.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3b95ff35d1.jpg

I'm just amazed that the cat is sitting in water willingly and you were able to take a picture of it. Cats and water don't usually mix. :P
