I have been reading on the tegu's and ackies, how are the ackies temperment? Are they considered a good pet?

Awesome animals! If it's the last thing I ever do I will get a pair of Tegus, as well as a pair of Philippine Sailfin Dragons!

Yes! They’re considered a great beginner monitor lizard! They have all the personality of the bigger monitors but in a much smaller package.
