    Raspberry Pi Terrarium Controller
Just came across this. Has anyone used one of these before? Seems like something I'd be interested in. I have a Pi running my 3D Printer and my homemade BBQ smoker.

Here is a better link to more info. https://github.com/theyosh/TerrariumPI
And a link to peoples setups that have built one. https://github.com/theyosh/TerrariumPI/issues/210

While I haven’t used one, I did look into it as a way to monitor the humidity/temps in my rack. I wanted something that could monitor and send me mobile alerts if something was out of range. It’s definitely something I’m interested in.

I use SensorPush. Works great. But you need the WI-FI gateway if you are going to get alerts away from home.

This looks neat but it didn't seem to control anything just monitor. I'm interested in the Total control and monitoring. But thanks for the info.

    Sorry. I missed that.

Let us know what you find.

All my thermostats are all redundant and I rarely travel, and if I do, have a house sitter. So I can tell them how to adjust them.

No problem. I like to look at all options. Just ordered some items to check out the TerrariumPi should be here mid week

I just installed it on a Raspberry Pi 2B i had laying around and it was pretty straight forward. Had to search for the default admin password for TerrariumPi which is "password" by the way. so I could change it. Now i am ready to breadboard connections when they arrive. I ordered a 5 pack of temp probes and a 2 pack of temp/humidity probes. Will start there and then try to get dimmer control for heat working.

    very kool!

one fellow forum used a Pi to controll an thermostat, fans and a camera for an incubator. seems to work great!: https://ball-pythons.net/forums/show...stat-Incubator it was tested on quail eggs and soon to operate a reptile incubator i think.
