That's a lot of pinkies in one sitting!

They have a pretty fast metabolism for small snakes. Or was my experience. Only snakes I ever kept, that would eat every week of the year..even in winter months...Before I got into pythons, the last 3 years, only kept native Southeastern venomous. When the pit wipers would shut down for winter, the Corals would continue feeding...Some of my absolute favorite snakes...

Did any of you saw the news about a Texas woman picking one of those up and getting bit ?

She found her cat playing with one. Made pictures and posted them on Facebook. Several people mistakenly identified the Coral as a King snake and told her to pick it up and relocate it.

She did pick it up (made another pic) and ultimately got bit. Thankfully SOME of the Facebook people did identify the snake correctly and the woman went to get medical help.

The woman, the cat and even the snake are ok. But that just goes to show, don't rely on social media in a case such as that. That could have ended badly. A guy not to far from here got bit by one recently, and he ended up paralyzed. Whether he regained the use of his legs, I do not know, but its never a good idea to under estimate those little snakes. They aren't aggressive, they have a small mouth, but they sure can bite if provoked.
Many people around here think they are rear fanged and have to "chew" to deliver venom. Not true..

Love the pictures. They sure are beautiful snakes.
