Shipping while in Shed?

I'm curious if anyone here has shipped animals in shed, and if so, what kind of outcome was there. I have a Buyer who has been patiently waiting for their animal and now that we were going to ship, it is in shed. I know that I can't regulate the humidity while in transit so I am hoping others on here can share their experience so I and the Buyer can make a more educated decision. Thanks

I’ve never personally shipped an animal, but I have received at least 3 snakes shipped to me while in shed or beginning to go into shed. No special precautions were taken that I could discern. One snake had even begun shedding probably moments before the box was placed in my hands. Chances are everything would be fine but others with more experience may be able to weigh in better than myself

I've had a few corns shipped to me that were in blue and at least 2 of them shed while in transit. I've shipped one that was just starting to turn blue. I made sure to notify the buyer and get their approval beforehand. I also indicate it by a posted note stating that condition on either the deli cup or feeding/lineage info.

I wouldn't worry about it...it happens & isn't that rare. You could always put a damp sponge in a zip-lock baggy with air holes to share the humidity, if you're that worried.

Like JM and 67temp, my Cribo came in with cloudy eyes. Everything was fine.

I ship animals in shed all the time, shipping is hard enough to schedule between weather and people's availability that if I had to schedule around shed it could be really complicated.

Every animals turn out fine, if they are deep in blue I place a piece of paper towel lightly misted in the snake bag (slightly not damped and or dripping)

Thank you everyone for your responses. I did look for the answer to this question in the shipping forum. I thought for sure this would have already been a thread. With all of the information you've provided, the Buyer and I have agreed to ship her and since she is deep in blue, will add a misted paper towel as Deborah instructed. I wouldn't recommend paper towel just incase it deteriorates& the snake happens to pick some of it up in its mouth it's very expensive so have paper towel removed from your pet id personally recommend the sponge in a zip bag however I have no experience shipping I just know snakes & paper towel don't go well together in any situation worst case see what happens & if you have to have reciever bathe the snake in Luke warm water if it has any stuck shed & give it a day if it's still stuck give her another bath & help her remove it yourself (keep in mind snakes like doing it alone so give them a chance to do it themselves)

All but 2-3 snakes I’ve ever had shipped to me came with paper towels in their bag/deli cup. More of them in shed than not. No issues. It can be concern when feeding though
