Help me buy lights please
I'm about to order a light tent to go with my fancy new camera, but I'm lost on lighting. My mum (gifter of the fancy camera and photobuff extraornaire) told me to just get the photoflood bulbs that normally come with the light tent (if you buy it as a kit, am shopping on B&H) but also that they only last for about 3 hours and they get extremely hot, which I don't think the snakes would like (she doesn't really "get" snakes). But when I asked her about fluorescent she said it leaves a green tint even if you white balance and will be more work to correct after the fact. So what should I do? I want to represent colors as accurately as possible (because I think tweaking color in post-production can get a bit iffy), but I don't want to cook them in the process, and if possible I would like to do those two things without dropping a ton of cash for a decent set-up (because it turns out you can spend A LOT if so inclined).
