its nuts but we got a sweet little rescue who was imported from the rough streets of Cairo. We're calling her Toasty after my son suggested "Toast" for her black and tan coat. And not for nothing, i told my wife i would be on-board for the dog only if she was on-board for another snake :D

    First dog:snake introduction

well, it didn't go badly considering how bad "badly" could be but it didn't go quite the way I wanted either. I got Irwin out and the first good thing is that she didn't rush into my snake area and start nosing the enclosures – but it was because she was too interested in my cat. So now I have Irwin coiled up my one arm and with the other arm I'm trying to mediate the dog and the cat (which didn't go so badly, certainly could've been worse) I can't even tell if the dog has noticed the snake because she is so interested in the cat, and then I hear my kid yelling for me from his bedroom, it's cliché but he needed a drink of water. I grab the dog's collar with one hand, pop open the snakes cage with the other, while the snake is wrapped around my arm above the wrist, coax the snake back into the cage which was surprisingly difficult considering all the excitement, get the dog out of the basement, leave the cat in the basement, tiptoe up the stairs with the dog behind me praying she will not bark, get my kid his water after arguing With him to try and go Pee since he's already up, and now I'm just lounging on the couch watching TV with the dog and although nothing went the way I wanted it to go there was no barking and no bloodshed so overall I'm gonna call it a win.
