    Sleeping with burms
So the other day while I was talking to my dad, he told me quite the interesting story of when he had a burm.

When he was 13 a friend of his didn't want his snake anymore and gave it to him for free, it was a 6ft burm. My dad was very poor growing up adn jumped on the chance to get a free snake, unfortunatly he didn't have enough money to take care of it properly.

It was winter, adn he didn't have a good heat lamp to keep the snake warm, so he slept with it in his bed! In order to share body heat with the snake.

This went on for 2 weeks until he accidently left it in the bed when he went to school, and my grandma found 'the monster' he had been hiding.

It got a better home shortly after that.

My dad is crazy. I'm amazed the snake stayed with him in the bed and neither of them got hurt. Not the best husbandry, but some decent dedication.

Not much harm a burmese python of that size could do, but definately an ackward situation. Your father must have been very dedicated to his pet snake ;) .

i must say, that was probably the most comfortable sleeping arangement! a nice comfy bed, squishy human, full body length heat.

can you imagine going from a cage to a bed back to a cage? lol

It may not be the best husbandry in the world but it is true dedication! Props!
