Fire, Ghost, or bleached looking normal?
So I picked up what's supposed to be a normal breeder female for dirt cheap on craigslist (the guy was also offering me it for free if I got a larger snake) but she is quite lightly pigmented compared to my male normal:

Faded black parts which my male doesn't have at all:

So is it just my imagination, or is this not a normal normal? :confusd: (total noob to morphs, sorry)

Yup. A normal. There is a lot of variation in normals.

Seeing standard normal, as pied said there's a lot of variation in normals and blushing/patterning on normals.

Normal and hopefully not carrying mites or disease. In the future it's highly recommended to quarantine new animals for several months away from your collection, especially from a questionable source.

This snake is actually in a separate room because of storage issues, but thanks. I had a lapse of judgement I guess and forgot about the quarantine thing.

Normal, normal vary greatly, from light to dark, busy pattern to reduced, busy belly to clean, blush etc

So , just wondering.... Ive always heard , there is a HUGE variation of colors/patterns on a normal, so I was wondering , how do breeders&buyers differentiate between a normal & a fire , ( since imo a fire looks like a light normal ) or any other morph out there that is similar to the wild type ?

Fire have a fairly distinct look to them, but the true test of a fire is how it changes other genes. ;)

My fire het pied. I sadly no longer have this animal, I sold him when I moved across country...I regret selling him. ;)

But when it comes to genes that look close to normals sometimes it comes down to trusting the breeder.
