Soaking / Musking question?

I notice sometimes people mention soaking their snakes, mostly when they are injured, sick, or have some dry scales or something. However I also have heard reference to soaking after musking. Can I get some more info on if and when I should soak Elysia? And a little more info on musking?

Well I know nothing about musking. But some people soak their snakes before a shed.

I don't soak any of my snakes on a regular basis. I did have to soak my BP after his first shed with me - it was in pieces. If she wants to soak she will in her water dish, but with a MBK - not necessary. Especially with the humidity you're having she should have no problem with a perfect shed. Out of my 7 snakes I've only seen one soak and that was my Cal King right after she ate she soaked for a bit.
