Thanks yes his tail colour is pretty good and his light and dark phases really show his pink almost lilac sides sometimes. Just hard to capture properly tho on camera

I mentioned in Sniper's B-Day thread, that some of the thought to be larger boa localities, don't always equate to giant animals.

That can hold true for male and female boas alike.

Gomez is a beautiful example of a true, red tail, Guyana BC.

The Guyana boas, along with the Surinam and Peruvian boas are often the largest of the boas. Argentine boas also fit that bill.

You can see here that Gomez is not on track to be a giant animal.

Boa constrictors are rarely the type of snake to surprise you with giant sizes.

Locality animals purchased from quality breeders will come with a certain amount of assurance that the seller will have a very good idea of the potential size of the animal you buy from them.

Sorry for the slight detour Richard, but I thought Gomez would be a nice example to make my point.

    Again, Happy Birthday fella!

Yes very true, not all true red tailed boas are huge and there's plenty of smaller bloodlines available now, most of Brian's boas true red tails Suriname/Guyana boas on you tube are over 6.5ft and a lot are 5/6ft
