If you bought a 3' tank...
Do you wish you got the 4'??? I'm gearing up to buy a new tank for Scar and deciding between the T4 and T10 from AP. Granted, we're not sure if it's male or female. The price difference between the two tanks is only $20....do you just get the larger...?? Thoughts and comments please and thank you!

If you have room & don't know what gender you have, I'd get a 4'. $20 is "nothing"...IMO.

You do have to think about more than just that $20.00. It’s going to cost more to heat that 4’ than the 3’.

Good point, especially if you're keeping BPs or any snakes that need higher temps.- but me personally, it wouldn't matter. (mostly colubrids that need way less heat)

The difference from heating a tank 3' long to 4' long is tiny. It might cost a little more for a larger heating device but the power itself is nothing. It's pretty easy to figure out how much power a device uses a year, then the cost of that power if you wanted to.

If you have the room, I would go with the 4’. Initial costs are where you are going to see the price difference, but maintenance should be about the same.

4’ all day.. they will use every inch of it... especially when they piss & im not joking. Several times i get home from working and they pissed all over and the 4’ gives them a dry area to find after until I get home to clean it.

Thought about the T8, but I think I want the little extra height.

Besides the $20 in cage cost, there's a $6 difference with an RHP and that's it for setup...soooo $26 difference. Just curious if anyone Found themselves wanting the extra space. Thank all for your thoughts!
