I know, they're not too much bigger than the mice he was eating before so I didn't think he was gonna gain weight just from the size lol. I didn't think they were necessarily more nutritious, though? Don't know for sure, but I thought they were just fattier

Start feeding rats and you will see weight gain. Pups still nurse so yeah they are "fatty"

Yes, I know. When I said I hoped they would help him gain weight I meant it in a sort of rhetorical way, I know rats will make him gain weight.

She's right around three feet long and 730 grams. I got her about 6 months ago and she was like 220-250 grams. She was tiny for her age when I got her but she's growing quick now.

Bo went into shed a day or so ago, so excited to see him after he's done! And he's been seriously gobbling down rats, it's so nice to see him going back to striking immediately after a long stretch of being so picky :D I'll have to weigh him when he's done, too, I'll bet he's gained quite a bit since I started this thread

He's really pretty and I love those freckles! Don't know how I missed this thread before now...? :oops:
