My Corn collection (pic heavy)

She is currently unnamed but has gotten the nickname MIA. She has a fun story. My wife wanted a corn of her own and chose this one. She came the same time camo did. She was hatched on 6/19/18 and arrived with me on 7/17. On 7/20 my wife and I left for vacation, but apparently her quarantine tub forgot to get closed. So she had a good 3 day head start on us looking for her. Hatchling corns aren't easy to find. We tried the normal tricks like flour, random warm hides, water bowels but saw no sign of her. we hoped she would eventually turn up in a year like they seem to do a lot. Last night on 8/15 I was reading before bed and heard a noise near one of my bedroom snakes but the sound wasn't coming from the tank. Upon investigation I found our lost little noodle. We had only had her for 3 days before she went M.I.A. for 26 days. She happily took a pinkie after her little adventure.

My wife and I had discussed this line of zombie corns last year and when some became available recently we took the chance. They are from Carol Huddleston.

Why do they call them zombie corns :)? You have some gorgeous critters 67.

Currently it is undetermined if this trait is recessive or polygenetic. This one particular breeder found that this line of corns slowly lost their headstamp (spear shape on top of their head) with each shed cycle. By the time they are adults they are left with a pale grey face which is how she came up with the term zombie.

I've been looking for a honey tessera to use for a future breeding project. I happened to find Don Soderberg of South Mountain Reptiles had a 2017 female still in stock. Don was awesome to deal with as recommended by some of his past customers I know. This is my new girl Clover.

Of course on par with my luck of ordering snakes recently, there was some issues. So I now also have this pretty 2018 snow tessera. I'm thinking she might get named Winter.
