Cornell likes to put the squeeze on...
Cornell, my JCP loves to squeeze. When out and being handled he has a tendency to wrap around my hand/fingers and squeeze like he's holding on for dear life. My initial thought is stress, but he shows no other signs of stress whatsoever.

I've let my curiosity go a few times and he's impressively strong for being so little. He's actually cut off circulation to the point my fingers were purple and starting to tingle.

I wouldn't say this a a concern as much as a curiosity. Anyone else have any experience with a squeezer like this? It's a first for me.

My female Rockhampton, Sally Jo, did the exact same thing for quite a while. Especially when I first got her. She still does that the most of all the critters here but has relaxed a bit recently. My female Brisbane, Charlotte however has done that almost never. She's constantly on the move checking out everything around her. Sally would rather post up with a firm grip and survey things from there.

Thats just like Cornell and Fernie. Fernie (Bredli) is super chill, likes to casually explore and never squeezes. Cornell on the other hand will squeeze and hang on, happy to just observe from his secure location.

I spoke to Riley, his breeder, and he said he's got one female who does that, but she's still a juvenile too. He expects Cornell will outgrow it with some size and confidence.

I think confidence versus time can vary between individual snakes.

Oh definitely, I agree. I remember Dakski saying recently that his guy didn't really gain confidence until almost 500 grams. I'm fine working with him and being patient.

Yeah, big change with Yafe at about 500G. Much more confident, slower moving, etc. Never aggressive, but definitely more chill now.

Yafe also used to squeeze tight when he was stressed or had enough handling. He doesn't really do it anymore, but that's how he used to tell me, "enough."

He would be fine and then TIGHT SQUEEZE.

Aha! Your ears must have been ringing!!! Hahhahaha.

Cornell tends to do it almost as soon as he's out. Hopefully it progresses to the point he's chill for a while and that becomes his "heads up" to me as well.

Forgive my horrible memory, Yafe. I'm lucky I remember my own name sometimes.
