Cut day 60

So I cut this egg at day 60 yesterday. I lost the last of the clutch couse of a heatspike in the incubator on a first day of the incubation. My concern is that the baby is not reacting when touched, it was not yesterday either. It´s fully developed tough, really pretty purple passion. The veins in the egg are still red, and the egg is moist, but not have much fluids in it.
It really sucks if it die on me going this far... :(

Heat spike was coused miscorrect information in the incubators usermanual. There was 7 eggs total 3 of them were goners in the next day when I checked the eggs. I returned the last remaining eggs to the female. 3 eggs died shortly after, the last one was incubated by mother this far. I desided to cut becouse I was concerned what the heat spike had done with this last one. Female kept temps between 30-32 celcius the whole time, so figured it would be safe to cut at day 60

Man, so sorry for your loss. Did you mean that you misinterpreted the information in the incubator instructions? What type of incubator was this? The main supportive husbandry factor with egg incubation is sustained temperatures and humidity. With maternal incubation humidity percentage can be problematic to maintain at safe levels and needs constant monitoring as does temperatures. Do you think you have the incubator instructions understood now? If so, I would consider setting the appropriate temps and maintain a 100% humidity in the incubator and just monitor the egg at this point. Hope that you can remedy this outcome. Good luck!

Actually I was so pissed off, that I tossed the damn thing to trash. Incubator was Dragon premium incubator. The users manual said to put the incubators temp probe inside the egg tub, so the incubator itself was much warmer than the egg tub. Acually I lost last year almost whole clutch, but I manage to keep one alive. I tought I was messed up mixing the vermiculate, but this year I was sure that I had done everything right. My other female is doing MI and her clutch has been very good looking the whole time. They should hatch any day now.
I have this one egg now in a tub, wich temperature is adjusted to 31 celcius. Hoping the best, fearing the worst.... Should I be concerned that the baby appears not to be moving?

Not all snakes "react" heavily when being touched in the egg... had the same with a bamboo this year which is now pipping and already tried to nip me while pipping sooooo :rolleyes:

Leave that snake alone if you keep poking around what you will set yourself for is a twisted umbilicus.

Some hardly move however if the egg is cut and there is not abnormal color, and no foul smell, chances are the hatching is fine.

Yep my thoughts exactly! I've had clutches that due to power outages get cooler for a few days and it just takes like a couple of extra days for them to hatch out.
