    Doublemane Lionhead bunbunbun.
If all goes well and the breeder doesn't change her mind last minute (which she would not, but I always fear the worst), then I am bringing this BUNBUNBUN home this weekend from Dana Cole in Riverside! She breeds lionheads for rabbit showing, but I am bringing this guy home as a pet! Hopefully free-roam house bun in the future.

His name will be Moony! Because I always wanted to name a pet after one of my favorite Harry Potter characters... His chinese name is totally off-topic and is 小圓子. (Xiao Yuan Zhi)... which is a kind of round chinese dessert that is similar to putting mochi in soup. :P

These are younger pics. He's a blue tort doublemane lionhead bun, and will be almost 13 weeks old this weekend. He will probably be a literal ball of fur when I pick him up! I am overly excited. LOL

    Very cool! He's a cutie. :)

We went through 4 house bunnies over about a 10 year time frame.

At first I thought that it was dumbest pet to get my daughter (like a snake, right?) Ignorance, ignorance, ignorance! They all had great personalities and even cuddled on the couch with us.

One in particular was very well house trained. He would only potty in his cage. Even if he was outside playing, he would go to door so we would let him inside to get to his cage.

    Congrats and enjoy!

Oh wow, what kind of bunnies were they? :D That house trained bun sounds amazing ahah- like a housebroken dog. Hope my bun can turn out like that!

And yes, I was inspired after following some house buns in Japan who are free-roam house pets, and they have so much personality! And very cuddly with their owners. I imagine they act and cuddle almost similar to cats.

Three of ours were Mini Lops including the self house trained one. The fourth was an English Lop, a big'un.

I almost said that they have catlike qualities, but figured that it may ruffle some dander with the cat folks. And I AM a cat person BTW. :)

Oh darn, I was the first one to say it! LOL I'll take your word on buns being catlike though, because I've only heard the same. I've never owned cats myself, but I did buy a 1 story cat condo for this bunny.
