Re: **Dane County WI meeting on 3/6**
Does anyone want to hear a real treat?

At the last meeting, myself, Kinera, and the rest of the Madison WI Herp Society attended a Dane County WI council meeting in response to a county amendment that would ban the sales and keeping of "exotic animals". We generated an impressive outpouring of opposition to the ordinance, with over 20 people attending to speak against it, and only 2 in favor. They ended up tabling the measure, but here is the best part:

Also testifying/answering questions were the two writers of the ordinance. Then at about 3/4 of the way through the hearing on it, one of the board members staight up asked the writers: "How many people have been killed or seriously injured in Dane Co WI by exotic animals"? To which they replied; "None we are aware of". The councilman than returns by asking "And how many people in Dane CO are seriously injured by dogs, cattle, horses, and other commonly domesticated animals?" To which they replied "Uhhh... None we know of. But we can research that further".

    Bwahahahahaha!
