Are you 100 percent sure it was a regurge? Six days seems like a long time I would think that would have been digested in that time.

That honestly does not look like a regurge... I have seen where others have posted that their snakes have defecated and it looked like a bundle of fur. Was there a horrid smell when you found this?

I would say without the smell what you are looking at is in fact hairy poo. If it was a regurge then it would smell like something that has been rotting inside your snake. Maybe someone else will chime in, but I vote Hairy Poo. :gj:

Oh...no mistaking the smell of a regurge...it will stink up the whole house!! If you didn't smell anything then it's not a regurge. That is a lot of hair for a turd but I say it's a turd.

What are your temps? What are you measuring them with?

If you want to play it safe I would wait 10-14 days before feeding your snake; this will give time for the electrolytes to build up again if it was a regurge. I've never personally seen quite a fur laden poo before but anything is possible. A regurge would have smelled awful; one of those smells you never forget.

I've seen Poos like that with large meals. It seems the hair is the last thing to get digested? Definitely not a regurge imo

Are you sure you got your temps down and everything? And are you sure he regurgitated that mouse, and it wasn't just liquid (the puke)? I would think 6 days would be too long, the mouse would probably already have been digested.

Edit- Ya, that pic looks like feces. Snakes do not digest things like the fur and fat of the food item so most likely that's just the fur the snake defecated.

It doesn't really look like a normal poop, but i don't think it's a regurge because you would have definately smelled that one.

It looks more like poo then a regurge, however it's a weird one. I've never seen a turd that looked like that.

    Re: Help!!!!!
I'll go against the grain and say it DOES look like a regurge to me. Either way - I'd suggest that it may be prudent to get a real fecal sample (one that doesn't look like that) and drop it off at your veterinary office to test for internal parasites.

My very first ball python regurgitated, and it was recommended to me to get a fecal test done. Sure enough, he tested positive for strongile parasites. Two doses of oral panacur took care of it.

If it IS a regurgitation, you should allow your snake 2 weeks before feeding again, so that his natural gut flora has a chance to re-build. Otherwise, you may be facing another regurge.

Dont even remind me! One of my female adults regurged a big rat and it smelt my whole house up for a few hours! Rat poop and piss smells like heaven compared to it!
