Could i use a rack system??????
Hello i live in Los angeles. the humidity here is around 50-60%... and i am starting to add more snakes to my collection, and i was wondering if i could build a rack system for my bps... last time i used tubs the humidity was to high and i flipped out and got tanks...

ive seen people who live in LA use tubs and have no trouble with it.. is there anyone who lives in cali who uses tubs or has a rack system, and knows whether i should/could use one or not?

you can use a rack if you want, just put a lot of holes in the tub to keep the humidity in them down

Where in LA do you live with high humidity? Must be fairly close to the water. I have a huge humidifier in my snake room just to keep it at 45% humidity.

Anyway the rack is the easiest and most efficient way to go. You will never look back. Vision cages are in Canoga Park. Drive there and dont pay shipping.(call first)

What I like about there racks is you can have 3 different size tubs, hatchling, subadult and adult tubs all in one rack if you want.

I live in Long Beach not even 10 min from the beach and I use a rack system. I have no heat or humidity problems.

lol im gona make my own rack sometime next week :) if you find plans anywhere let me know.
but mine is just gona be just 4 posts for the sides, one big peice of wood(or that board with holes in it)for the back, and how ever many shelves i need(im gona b using 32 or 36 qt tubs)for them. i have to do all the measurments this week so i can have it all precut. :gj:

    Humidity and Temperature?
Hi, I live in Canada and in my room (where I am going to put my reptiles) the temperature and humidity is at 24degrees Celsius and 36% humidity. Would I be able to use a rack system (for Ball Pythons)? And also how do I get the humidity up in the RACK (not my room) and have something to keep track of both. I'm probably getting a Helix, but not sure about where and how to put a hygrometer in the tub without it disturbing my snake. And lastly what kind of hygrometer will work? Is the "Exo Terra Digital Hygrometer with Probe" good?
    Thank You.
