    Blackberry Storm
Well i'm on my 2nd, on my way to my 3rd(Monday). As far as a phone goes, it's a great phone, pretty durable, but honestly it can be laggy sometimes, internet goes slow sometimes, and just a lot of flaws that i've noticed. My first one survived my motorcycle wreck and multiple drops, and still went strong, only after dropping it on the corner of concrete and cracking the plastic screen a bit did I decide to use my insurance to get a new one(phone still worked).

So I got my new storm in July, and the other day I dropped it and scratched it which I happened to be in a bad mood so I threw it against the wall, on the floor, kicked it around a bit, still works. Then today the phone just started being really retarded so I played hockey with it, only thing I regret to say is all my ringtones(made by myself) that I had on the phone itsself instead of the media card are gone, along with all my pictures.

Well so this screen is cracked too, so I had to make another insurance claim, what I don't like is that they wouldn't give me a cheaper phone. As far as all these PDA's and stuff go, they are honestly pretty crappy, iphone included. I just wanted to get the plain and simple Casio GZ1(Boulder) which is a military based phone and is shock/water/dust resistant.

I had a Storm and it sucked. The iPhone is the best phone I have ever owned. It is so usable. I can't live without it.

I want to get the Casion GZ1(Boulder). It's waterproof, also that means I can drop my $30 a month extra data package which you have to have if you own a blackberry.

My boyfriend has a blackberry storm. I agree, it lags a lot. A couple of months ago we were using my mom's pool. He had forgotten to take his storm out of his pocket before he got in the pool. When he took it out of his pocket it was dripping. He put it in a bag of rice for a couple of days, and it still works. It didn't seem to damage anything, in that respect I wa fairly impressed.

The Data Plan enables you to use the internet and email on your phone.

If you have that, your paying for it.

That being said, I have the 8900, a pretty new one. It has it's good days and bad days....

Just like any other phone I've ever had. But I couldn't get by without it.

8900 is a pretty nice phone. I use a Bold for my work phone and an iPhone for my personal line. The iPhone is overall my fav, but they all have their shortcomings. The Storm 2 should be hitting shelves soon, and it's supposed to be much nicer than the first gen.
The biggest problem with BB is that many of them have issues locking up or rebooting on their own at times.

I love my G'zOne, although I hate the name. Not only is it water proof, but it's dust proof too -- which was the big seller for me. I work in a metal fabrication shop so my phones always ended up full of metal dust which took it's toll pretty quick, even the 'military grade' ones from Nextel. My only complaints about it is that the speaker is pretty quiet compared to most other phones due to it having to be sealed off against water and dust, and the belt clip they sell for it is about worthless. I broke the actual clip off the back and repaired it with JB Weld a few times before giving in and replacing that part with a steel one that I made at work. Then just last week the front part on the phone clip that holds the phone in broke off, so now if I tap it the phone falls out of the holder. None of this happened from being rough with the phone, every single time happened while I was getting into my car.

I mean the storm is good, just I don't use half of it's features and it seems like the more expensive a phone is the more problems it causes. It's not nearly as bad as it was when they had the old software vs the new one. A lot of people were getting a java error starting the phone up which when you would answer sometimes, the phone would just power off.

LOL. That's how my first storm was, that screen is scratch resistant though, so you don't need the screen protectors. I want to get rid of my storm, I want a Casio G'Zone I believe it's called or a.k.a. Casio Boulder. Only thing is I can't upgrade right now, and my insurnace would substitute the Blackberry Storm($300ish) for the Casio($180ish). I don't understand it.

    Re: Blackberry Storm
Well... I've had a Storm since December, and I will tell you that it lagged for moths until I (a friend) upgraded it for me. Never thought about it!
Loaded the ware that came with it, and plugged my phone into my desk top. Works like a DREAM now! :D
I even treated myself to a wicked-cool "theme" from Crackberry to celebrate my phone working like a phone...
Also, I've dropped it about 1 million times. I have a hard case and replaceable screen protectors on it... when I remove these, the phone looks like new still! (and is much smaller)... ;)

Now, for the Casio... my hubs got one for his personal phone, and has had it for a few years now. BELIEVE me when I say that he is hard on phones. It's outlasted 3 of his work phones... I love this thing... After replacing phone after phone, he didn't get a choice on what one he wanted... lol And again, the thing ROCKS! :gj:

Yep, I want one when we were all out on on the river, and we went and jumped in the lake and all the sudden my friends phone started ringing. We are all sitting in the water and this fool answers his phone, i'm like no way, a water proof phone.

I thought you did, or that's what I was told. I use the e-mail a lot, not so much the internet because the internet isn't fast at all.

I have verizon, because I get a better discount with them, atleast I think. I get 18% off my monthly bill, and 25% off accessories, plus I like how you can change your bill in the middle of the month to avoid minutes usage because they don't have rollover which would be awesome. On the other hand, I have that friends & family thing.

Not only can you answer it in the water, you can actually use it UNDER the water. It's that good. :D

It's great. I think me and that phone would work good. The only thign i'm curious about would be all the errors on the phone I keep reading about.

Which errors? I haven't run into any in the 2 years or so that I've had it.
