    Interesting.

Looks like a severely handicapped snake to me.

Did you find those pictures, or were they actually from a snake that laid for you?

    Aww, that's a shame, Wes. :(

    Was it alive?

No, it didn't even slit its egg. When most of the clutch was out I slit open two who hadn't done it on their own. This was in one of them and the other had what looked like a premie in it. That or it was a unique pattern of spots and striping that I had never seen before.

So, out of 12 eggs I got 10 hatchlings and 2 weirdos.

that's a bummer,i wonder if it's random, you going to pair the same two adults next year?

last year my friend hatched a two headed BP,they slit the egg then died a hour later.

Sorry to see that, Wes. I would be curious if it's something genetic or just random.

Wow Wes, that is pretty wild.

I was thinking the other day of how I am somewhat surprised that with all the snake breeding going on that we do not hear more about 2 headed specimen.

    Pretty amazing.

Wow, Wes. Sorry it happened. There are cases of dicephalism (sp?) that have actually survived, and still do well. I wonder if this trait could be repeated if you bred the parents again...I mean, the likelyhood of it happening again.
