    Free spyware removers?
My computer seems really messed up right now and I can't register for anything because I don't feel too comfortable now giving out information because I think this virus may steal it. Is there any free spyware downloads that don't cost anything to scan and protect your computer? Oddy, this website seems a lot larger than normal.. like font and everything! I didn't do anything to the computer either, so does anyone know of a free spyware download(s) to protect and get rid of this annoying virus? I keep having pop up bubbles from it saying like Critical System Warning and a bunch of other stuff underneath that title. Soo.... help!!!!

I want it to completely remove my virus, which is called Personal Antivirus.. stupid of me to download it... is there any free programs I can download that protects my computer and gets rid of the virus? Not only scanning though. This virus steals personal information and I do not want it to take my passwords for accounts and such.

I have the second one scanning right now. During the scan, does it get rid of my virus and protects the computer for viruses trying to get into my stuff?

I personally use Avast. I don't know about those other two, but I've heard great things about AVG too.

Avast has a boot scan that cleans the system without it being very active.

The second one doesn't remove viruses but other things that could potentially slow down your computer. I recommend AVG first if you think its a virus, followed by advanced system care. Malwarebytes' as mentioned earlier would be another option to try.

AVG is good, I also personally use spybot search and destroy, it's been around for a while but I still like it.

People covered all the good free stuff.

You might want to also completely format your computer if it's real bad.

    No it didn't.

100% sure of that .. you have some bad infections I guess .. go into safe mode and install Malwarebytes and run a scan.

When booting your PC hit the F8 key like it's a race ... then the menu popsup and asks you what kind of boot option you want, pick Safe Mode.

    Good Luck

Malware DEFINITELY did not give you a virus.

Turn your computer off and do not turn it back on again.

Do you pay for it? Curiosity because we stopped using it at work after it started popping up ads itself, but we were using the free one.

BTW about that personal antivirus, those guides sometimes don't help. A friend of mine had gotten it, and those guides that tells you what's where were half wrong. Not saying for every case. I just found it easier to wipe windows clean and reformat.

Only bad thing about PAV is it disables the sites you need to visit to download something to remove it and sites that explain how to remove it.

Virus scanners are good, but I never use them, because like anything. A virus scanner can only pickup what it knows. Hundreds of viruses come out daily, and it's not until people get infected with them, do they get submitted to be decompiled and the string put in so the scanner picks it up. Just stick away from downloading and sites you don't know and you will be fine.
