SUPERS from WC X Ian G. Black Pastel !?!

Okay... Here is the question for any one with experience with Super Cinny / Blk Pastels

Are Super Cinny's / Blk pastel born with a silver stripe down their spine?

This is my buddy Tom Cowell's clutch and these just hatched from a Wild Caught Possible Cinny female X Ian G. Black Pastel Male. There are 3 supers all with the silver stripe and a couple of odd sibs with funky sided and checkered strips down their backs...

I am definately going to get one of these supers from him THEY ARE HOT!!!

Those are some bad ass supers and black pastels.

Wow...those are wicked looking! I don't know much about the supers, so I can't answer the question about the stripe...but the sib looks insane, too! Got some pics of the parents???

Could the WC have been a granite also? Some of the cinny sibs look like they have some granite in them.

That is insane! I have never seen a super cinni/blkpastel with a silver dorsal stripe. Maybe that is what the black pastel cinnamon combo looks like? Also, maybe the female is a new morph on the same allele? Awesome snakes!

Does anyone know if a cinnamon black pastel combo has been done? I've never heard of it?

Supers should not have a silver stripe down the back. It looks like the hypo gene is at play here. Look at that one sib looks like a hypo cinny. Id be all over one of those supers I love mine!

Correction... That sib is not from the same mother I was just told it was from a Wild caught granite but the same Blk Pastel father

Ive made a few and seen a hole bunch of super cinnies / blacks and ive never seen any with the strip. Those are also the best black pastels ive ever seen.......... VERY NICE

That's really odd! The stripe is really a neat thing to see, I can't wait to see them after a few shed, to see if the stripe shows up more or less!

The mother reminds me more of a het red than a cinny.....

Granite type gene would be my first guess as well. As Neil said, super nice Supers. :banana:

The stripe should NOT be there!! Something is going on I would think. Will look forward to seeing them after a few sheds. Great project.

I would grow a super boy up and put him on a couple normals and a morph or 2 -- Y.B. and Pastel maybe -- in order to see what is happening genetically?

YES HE DOES...he has produced some crazy stuff the last couple years and all from imports!

I just went over and saw the Supers in person and they are GORGEOUS!!! Dark Charcoal black with a definite silver stripe down each of their backs the photos just don't show the stripe like it looks in person!

Also...No duckbilling, kinking or any other deformities that we could see!

The final count was 3 supers, 5 black Pastel or Cinny ?, and 2 normals from a 10 egg clutch

Now I can see them, his site must have been down temporarily. Those are really interesting looking black pastels, and the supers are fantastic. I think I like these better then the solid colored ones.

I just hatched out some Super Blacks myself (GCR line which is from the same WC group as the Ian G line, BTW)- no striped dorsals.

Big congrats to the producer of this striped group- they rock!
