Flower pot saucers at Wal Mart
Has anyone looked for them recently? Or even at Lowes? I just got back from both stores, and neither had the thick plastic ones that aren't see through. THe only ones they have are the flimsy see through ones. I was hoping to get one for a hide, but I couldn't find them! So I was just wondering if our wal mart and lowes here are slacking on ordering things, or are all stores only carrying the flimsy clear ones now?

PS. I didn't check home depot, we don't have one in town.

Looks like Ace Hardware might sell them:

If you order online, you can choose the size that you want. I use 6" for hatchlings.

    Edit, here's another online source:

I usually go to a garden or nursery center and pick them up. At those type of places, they cost about $.99 each. I also get my vermiculite there.

I like Charlie get mine from my local nursery.. They carry every thing I need from 50lb bags of vermiculite to 6 different sizes of pot sausers. Look for a local home garden center.

Glad it's not just me. I thought these would be common items, yet couldn't find them at WalMart or Target.

i got all of mine at Big Lots actually :) and i got black plastic bowls that i soldered holes into from party city, it was like 10 bucks for 30 of them. I use them for my small BPs and the little JCP.

I can take a pic of the bowls if you want so you see what they look like.

Hm, I think our big lots is still open, I'll have to go check them out. I found out that the recession has caused our Ace Hardware store to shut down... Bleh!

I saw this thread and called one of my friends, who is a Home and Garden department manager at a Wal-Mart. She said that if the store is already out then they may or may not be getting anymore in. It is getting close to the end of summer so most stores will be getting ready for the Fall seasonal merchandise, and the best thing to do would be to ask the dept. manager if they expect any more in...
