What to use to scrub the water dishes?
So once or twice a week I'm going to scrub each of my reptiles' water dishes with antibacterial soap and warm water, so I was just wondering what's the best to use to scrub each water dish? Since my King snake is still recovering from RI I wouldn't want to spread any germs even between the snakes that are healthy. So should I just use like a sponge or something for each individual reptile? Like, one sponge for one reptile? Not really sure about sponges since they can get pretty nasty and smell bad, so what do you use to scrub your water dishes? And tooth brushes don't seem to work as well because you can't get some corners and thoroughly scrub the water dish.

Replace the sponge when it starts looking bad? They aren't expensive. You could use one sponge for the healthy snakes and one for the sick. I use one sponge for all of my snakes without issue.

Alright, well only one snake is sick but I did just get a new one that doesn't seem to have any sicknesses or parasites so maybe just use the sponge for the animals that are not sick for him too?

Tooth brushes are hard to clean in some areas in water dishes I have, so I don't use a tooth brush anymore.

Put the damp sponge in the microwave for about a minute. If bacteria can survive the boiling water in the sponge, then it belongs on a hydrothermal vent and not a dish cleaning sponge. :P

I use a sponge, and I use bleach in my bowls which I assume kills just about anything.

I use antibactirial hand soap and a little round pot scrubber brush.

Soak the bowls in bleach water for about 10 minutes and you won't have to worry about spreading germs around. I use a regular kitchen scrub brush for my water bowls (separate from the one I use on the family dishes of course)
