Love it. I want to see more examples so that we can see if the mostly white is a form of the morph, or random, like pieds are.

I thing it is an awesome snake, and I hope one is produced with more black, like 50/50. I prefer normal pieds 50/50 too as opposed to high white.

As fas as I know there is only one. Does anyone know for sure, or have photos of others.
Either way I think they are cool. Would I pay 15+k for one ? No way, but its a very cool snake regardless.

The problem is, there was about 3 or more months of hype, and honestly, it did not live up to the hype for me.

Yeah, there is just the one, unless someone has produced one and not gone public, which wouldn't make sense. It will be interesting to see if they always have white heads, and if they will all be high white or if some come out with more black/interesting patterns.

Designer Ball Pythons are like art; each person has an opinion on each work of art and there is no right or wrong answer...you either like it or you don't and many subtle degrees of grading in between.;)

I just love the pure white coloration of the snake and the nice solid black spots. Pieds can produce some amazing morphs, hopefully one day I could get a pair of hets and breed them :]

anyone got a link or a pic of a ghost piebald?? Panda pieds are dope and way expensive simply because no matter what you breed it too its balck pastel/ cinnamon pastel 100 % piebald!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

imagine breeding it to a clown het piebald or pinstripe het piebald or whatever.even just a normal would be an amazing clutch.

Well, since I've only ever seen pictures of ONE and only ONE individual, it's really kind of hard to tell how variable they'll be and so it's kind of foolish to determine whether or not they're over rated.

I do have to say that it's not likely that I'll ever buy one unless they come WAY down in price, but it is in the plans for eventually making my own just because I think it would be interesting.

The one Ian produced is cool looking, but I don't think it was cool enough to let the hype and drama build for so long. If I produced it, I would have put pictures up as soon as people started talking about it, knowing that it didn't turn out to be special enough to not be a let down after all the suspense. Had it been made public from the beginning, it would have seemed a lot more special, imho.

I think its a kewl looking snake, but then again I'm a sucker for any pied combo. I do think that the axanthic (spelling?)pied is a bit more interesting as there is patterning.

    I 100% agree.

I hope to produce some myself, I really think its very possible to produce lower white forms of the combo.

Alot of people do not like the way it was revealed, but I cannot see why because I doubt many know why it was not that big of a deal for the breeder to get pictures and show it off right away.

Over rated? No way, it produces all black pastels het pieds, how can that be over rated?

Absolutely not overrated. Do you realize how difficult it was to make???

Don't downplay the hard work people spend to make things happen.

I wouldn't give him much mind, he has this same related topic in 3 different threads, it seems like he wants one, just doesn't want to pay what people want.

I did not base my answer on the amount of work needed to create this morph, as I'm sure it was an enormous effort. I based my response on the appearance. While I do feel that it's a beautiful snake, I do not think I would choose it over one of the others I listed.

Pictures often do not do justice for the true appearance of most of the snake morphs though and seeing one in person could easily sway my opinion. :)

I do not think it is over rated at all. It is one awesome looking Ball Python. Personally I like being kept in suspense it makes this whole breeding game fun when we try to guess and figure out what it is going to look like. A few buddies of mine have some Ball Pythons they hatched that only a hand full of people have see and man they are very interesting. When he does go public with them people will not be disappointed. I know if I hatched them I would want to tell the world but that is me. Some people feel that the longer they hold out the more they might get imho.

Way overrated. It lacks the beauty of the simple pied and recessive combo morphs like the ghost and axanthic pieds. Also, I think making the dark part of that type of pied without using a super combo that's known for abnormal/mis-shaped/deformed noggins is worth way more and would be a smarter approach. For me, when I saw it all I could think is duckbilled dairy cow.

I don't think the hard work has anything to do with whether or not its over or underrated. IMO it either looks good or it doesn't.

Now that being said, I think the panda pied is simply awesome! It was everything I was hoping it would be.
