I called every number first thing this morning. The aides seemed very annoyed :)
Make the call people! We want them to know we won't back down and will fight this at every turn they try to sneak by us!

Re: Call and Fax!!
I'm calling them at the moment! Some of them are super polite, and some of them less than polite, but I haven't been hung up on yet. They always thank me for calling, though.

Re: Call and Fax!!
Just finished up faxing and calling. Come on people, if you haven't did your part, then get on the ball!

Re: Call and Fax!!
K!
The guy at Tom Roony's office was very nice, and said that they have had, "A lot of reptile and python owners responding about this."
:gj: Great work everyone!!!
He also said that Rooney is working on rewording the bill that will be presented tomorrow to specify Burms. "The language of the Bill will be rewritten."
Or something to that effect... Keep it up! :salute:
-
Re: Call and Fax!!
I just sent my faxes and made my calls and most of the aides knew immediately that I was calling about the 'python bill'---I'm hoping that is good news.
-
Re: Call and Fax!!

Were making an impact!!!!
Keep calling and faxing a personal letter with your personal info to every number! Make sure you get every number! Keep going all day if you have to! I was told by one rep that they have recieved more calls on this than any other issue in the house right now! Here are all the numbers. Keep at it. If you get a busy line move to the next one!
Time is critical, so please take the time to contact the following Congresspeople and ask them -- POLITELY -- to send this bill back to be amended to use the scientific names of the specific animals they're seeking to restrict, and not include common housepets along with animals of concern.

Re: Call and Fax!!
I'm asking my dad if I can call right now.. though, I don't really know what to say lol should I just say I'm against the python ban? Or say I'm against s373 and hr2811?
-
Re: Call and Fax!!
They're basically the same thing. The main concern right now is HR2811.
-
Re: Call and Fax!!
Say your against HR2811 and tell them what you want amended about it like only banning burmese or banning no snake, for example.
