it looks really cool but i think your name gets lost in the design. unless you're just talking about the design itself, using the name as a watermark. if that's the case then it's awesome!

Thanks, I just put my name as a watermark, couldn't figure where to incorperate it in the design.

I agree with the previous poster; the font itself is semi-complicated alone and does get lost in the design.

You might try wrapping the text around the lower portion of the image.

The Saints may have something to say about your fluer di lis thinigy but otherwise it looks pretty cool.

It is a very interresting design. Good work on it. Maybe a bit too busy. I wouild, and this is just me, add some seperation between the snake and the loony toons cyrcle thing in the background. Maybe a little burn in the center of it, or drop shadow.

I do not believe the fluer di lis is owned by the saints, even though they use it. I think that has been around long enough to be in the public domain.

Looks good! It might be a little busy though... If you remove the Saints logo, I think it would make it look even better!

Remember, less is more sometimes.

Thanks, Thats what I was thinking too about the text, thats definitely going to be tricky trying to tie the text in.

There are quite a few logos I see with the Fluer Di Lis, so I think its safe to say its in public domain area now.

LoL, Love the luney tunes reference. I'll definitely give that a try to see how it looks, it might help with the text issue.

Thanks, most of the artwork I do is busy, so it kinda rubs off on other projects. :D I'll mess around with it and see what looks good.

Hmm, yall were right, the Fluer Di Lis was too much. Here is a few different versions.

I would put the center of the snake in, kind of like your avatar has.
If you are going to use it as a header on a website then maybe have the name at 2/3 size of the logo off to the right.

Or wrap it with your name at the top seperated by the snake head, and reptiles wrapping around the bottom.

I think it might look neat if you took out your name at the bottom, and put JDR in noticeable cursive letters in the middle dotted thing. Use it as your logo and just have your full "company name" as your website or something.

lol, not stepping on my toes at all. :D I had a harsh art teacher once, and I got some flat out brutal critiques (in front of a class of kids to boot!) But yeah again, these designs were just some random last minute sort of things, so any suggestions are very welcomed.

I actually tried using just JDR in the middle, but couldn't find the perfect font, I have 1000s of fonts on my PS so it'll take me awhile. I am thinking about maybe using that one (w/ the full business name) as a second version once I perfect it alil more. I think it'll look good on a business card or something.

Keeping the center of the snake visible on it, drew too much attention to the snake, which threw it off to me.

I did try putting the name at the top, but it made it too "heavy." :/

I was actually thinking about putting it on my enter page, since I have a different lil design that I like for my header.:D

Awesome job on the head... I'm a sucker for swirlies! :D I might make it a tad less busy? I think the snake itself should really stand out more, cause I think it's great! :D

Edit: Maybe try turning the blue red?

lol Thanks, the bevel and emboss layer style does wonders on making anything look metallic.

I tried just red, and then red and blue; didn't come out good. Looked too much like the luney toons credits. I did the snake all by itself, and it reminds me of The Terminator, lol. Here I'll show ya. :D:P
