Nice, I need one of those. You sure are getting good odds on your clutches this year, how many goats did you have to sacrifice to appease the ball gods?

LOL! It was a Nine egg Clutch, so.. this is actually pretty standard.

But I have suffered for many years on odds... So maybe this is just deserts?

Yes, I recently acquired a 1.2 trio, all 700+ grams each. I think I will at least be able to breed the male to some normal's. The females might need to wait another entire calendar year.

Nice Sables Heather! Do You have any combos planned?

I have a few Sables...I've been trying to make some Pinstripe Sables this year, but my females aren't cooperating! I hope to make a Sable VPI Axanthic this coming season.

Congrats Heather. Those are some hotties. I hope you got a decent amount of females to hold back. For some reason, I haven't seen the Sables take off like I would like to, and as a result, I won't produce many this year. I should however produce a couple crosses this year. I think there is still alot to do with this morph.

Gawd Heather I had to throw myself across my computer screen so my husband Mike couldn't see those new Sable hatchlings of yours. He's crazy for the darker morphs and as was said earlier, thinks they don't get nearly enough attention.

If he sees those hatchlings of yours my budget will be shot! :O

Heather - those are really sweet!!

I found this thread because I was searching on chocolates and sables. I have a really interesting clutch hatching right now. Do you have a sec to take some belly shots of those cute babies??

I have this really dark female and it is her first clutch. 1.0.2 spiders and 2.0 normals?. The normals look just like your sables and they have tons of black on their bellies. The spiders are dark as well and the 1. spider that is out of the egg even has black down his belly....

My camera is out of town at the moment (figures) - I'll post pics next weekend....

As a matter of fact, those eggs are due in the next couple days.

    Heather,
Any post shed shots yet? I really liked the one in the lower left corner.

Love the sable's. I don't understand why they are not more in demand. I picked up a nice male in Daytona last year but he did not breed for me this season. Next season I have a nice pinstripe ready for him.

Sables are in my future breeding plans; I want to see what a Sable Axanthic would look like.... Alas, I need to curb my snake spending for now. ;-]

Have you seen the Super Sable? Very nice! I love my Sable, I'll try to get a picture of him tonight, he's a tough little bugger to photograph though. He's nosy like my Spider girl and won't sit still. :rolleye2: I'm hoping he'll breed this season, but he needs to fatten up first. He's at 470g (more length than bulk) and no sign of plugs.
