Which genre of music do you like?

This seems to be kinda interesting, I just want to see what majority of you people like a certain genre of music. I would say I like rock the most, though, I listen to Eminem a LOT more than my rock music.. soo.. don't really know where I go lol.

Btw, the rock category includes classic rock and just pretty much ALL rock.

Mostly heavier stuff.
Dream Theater, Buckethead, Old Metallica, Megadeth ect.......I'm a huge fan of technical proficiency.

I like that screaming crap!

I like almost anything. It honestly depends on my mood and state of mind at the time. I go in phases of listening to one type more. I tend towards classic rock a lot (60s, 70s) on the radio. I also enjoy dance, rock, punk, some metal, classical, musicals, and even some certain rap or country songs. I've enjoyed concerts ranging from Eminem to Marilyn Manson to Loudan Wainright III to Beatles tribute bands. I just love music and expression! I'm going to see Rascal Flatts next weekend. Recently, I went and saw the musical RENT (for the fifth time I think). It was amazing- I couldn't take my eyes off of it :)

Prefer country or classic rock (ok, I love the 80's too but I am an 80's child).

Pretty much european stuff. This is a really hard thing to answer for me. Thrash, powermetal, folk metal, late 80's to mid 90's rap, classic rock, techno, trance, and soo much more. lol.

Oh, and I forgot about 80's hair bands. Never gets old for me for some reason....ahhhh memories.

i chose other because i am into everything, just a few people i listen to....eminem (love him), the beatles, kid cudi, tiesto, immortal technique, artic monkeys, modest mouse, mad mardigan, jedimind tricks, david gueta, celia cruz, MJ, don omar, and anything hispanic you get the picture lol

The 80s rule... anyone else watch VH1 classic? lol

I love Eminem too he is wayy cool. I listen to his music pretty much everyday.. including right now lol. I also love Kid Cudi, Immortal Technique, and David Guetta. Great artists!

well than you got some good taste in music. but you gotta start listening to more spanish music im cuban so i listen to it all the time

if you like eminem you should check out a band called hollywood undead! The rapper sounds alot like eminem they do scream a little though so if you dont like screaming you may not like them.

Spanish music is alright. I don't really like rap/hip hop at all but there's something about Eminem's music that makes me listen to it all of the time lol. Rock is definitely and will always be a favorite. My favorite band is definitely Disturbed. Now they have some great songs! Skillet also has great songs too, with a lot of great guitar solos at the end of their songs.:)

Oh I've heard about them. Ya the rapper sounds so much like Eminem, and I don't mind the scream thing. Eminem's song "Kim" is like screaming throughout the entire song and it's one of my favorites haha.

disturbed is cool but when it comes to rock its either classic or local bands down here in miami, my good friends are in a band and they are awesome IMHO there name is gibara heres a link to one of there videos on youtube

I listen to alot of old stuff (classic rock, hard rock, funk,soul, metal)and alot of new bands, I can go from punk to country from Johnny Cash to Wolfmother but always have a little time for some AC DC:rolleye2:

i like indie music like css, tegan and sara, built to spill, tily and the wall, the decemberists but also like tupac, the doors, nirvana, bjork, and janis joplin

I love alternative, but you didn't have an option for jazz! Definitely a huge part of my music collection. Gotta love The Count, Bird, Miles Davis, J.J. Johnson, and basically everyone else! Those Bassie charts melt my soul.

I really love all kinds of music, everything from jazz to heavy metal they all have there own individual sounds. I like music as a whole, no real personal preference. I take that back, actually killswitch engage is a really amazing band with an awesome lead singer.

Mostly hard rock and older metal, but I also like some country. Bands I mostly listen to are Iron Maiden, Metallica (old stuff), GnR, Motley Crue, Waylon Jennings, Hank Jr., Velvet Revolver, AC/DC, Danzig... Stuff like that.

Ah, the 80s! I mainly listen to Country (Alan Jackson, George Strait, :gj:) but when I want something different, I switch to 80s, and then oldies in general. (Hey, remember when 70s music was current?) :D

I listen to pretty much anything, except hard core rap.. can't stand it!!! rock is at the core though.. and yes I'm an 80's child as well.

Rap/HipHop: mostly mid 90s East Coast stuff, from the days when I was young
SxE Hardcore and Hardcore: Earth Crisis, Ignite, Snapcase, Slapshot, Gorilla Biscuits, Youth of today, Shelter etc.
Emo: Boy sets fire, Texas is the reason etc.
Ska: I love the mid 80s bands from the UK and some of the rocksteady old school stuff from jamaica
Indie music
Electro and Breakbeats
60s Psychedlic stuff
Northern Soul

My musical tastes are kind of all over the place but hardcore is the main thing I've been into since I was about 12-14 years old. I also have a huge thing for hiphop, mainly anything Wutang, Wutang related or Tupac. I also listen to a lot of classical or jazz when I'm at home.

Hardcore: blood for blood, death before dishonor, first blood, sworn enemy, madball
Hiphop/rap: wutang, tupac, nwa, dr dre, snoop
other: anything classical, miles davis, jj johnson, tegan & sara, imogen heap

I had to choose rap/hip hop. I do listen to others but not much. Lil Wayne is my FAVORITE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do believe I'm his #1 fan....... That's all I have on my Ipod. But gotta throw in some Kansas and Disturbed every once in a while.

I mostly listen to heavy metal, rock, and reggae, but I voted metal.

Crap how did I forget to add blues. lol. Love me any blues from Robert Johnson, B.B. King, to my latest discovery of Joe Bonamassa Just great music. I have to throw in some Chuck Berry although hes more rock and roll than blues.

Gotta be some Korpiklaani, eluvitie, turisas, Fintroll, Vintersorg and a few others for me. Ensiferum is pretty cool live.
