Power Female on eggs!

Here was one of our more exciting clutches of the year. This girl is the one in our avatar. This Sterling female was bred by our Pied male, so Pastel Het Pieds and Pewter Het Pieds. Man I hope for a pile of Pewters. Another interesting point in this clutch is that I only ever felt 5 follicles, but we got 7 eggs. Upon further inspection, we found 2 of the eggs to be infertile, so we still only ended up with 5 eggs. I think I am really liking these Homozygous females. Here is the pic.

you can get pewters from breeding a steriling to something else? Odds must be low on that right? I may be wrong I just got back from a 7 hour drive not too long ago lol I figure you would get pastels 100% het pied, Cinnies 100% het pied and maybe some norm het pieds or what you mean when you say pewter pieds it the breeding of the offspring from this clutch. Please help my brain hurts.

Sterling is a super pastel cinny, so all babies will have the pastel gene and each will have a 50% chance of being a pewter. No chance for a normal - that is what is so cool with homogeneous genes.

Thanks for the Congrats. I will put you down for a Cinny Het Pied male, but none will come from this clutch. The female is a Super Pastel Cinny. Therefore every baby will be at minimum Pastel and Het Pied. The other 50% will be Pewters and Het for Pied.
