    Favorite mixed drink?
I'm posting a lot lately but hey, I've been bored, what can I say?

My favorite is plain and simple, gin & tonic using Bombay Sapphire. Nothing really completes a day like one o' those! :D I also like cosmo's from time to time. I don't know a whole lot of mixed drinks, so if ya'll can chime in on your favorites I'd love to hear them. :carouse:

Sorry to change the subject, but something that I hate seeing more than anything else at a place where alcohol is served, is seeing some snooty broad, or even worse, some cross-eyed meat head ordering a delicious alcohol, than adding, "and cranberry", or "and 7-Up", or "and coke", or "and lemonade".

If you want a vodka and cranberry, or a whiskey and coke, etcetera, etcetera, don't get the $9 a shot, top shelf, delicious spirits. You don't look cool, and you definitely can't taste the difference between an Absolut and cranberry and Sprite, and a Grey Goose and Cranberry and Sprite, or a Johnny Walker Black Label and Coke and a Jim Beam and Coke. I'm not saying that people should get the house or bottom shelf spirit when they order a cocktail, but to order a delicious spirit, that deserves to be savored either on it's own, or with a splash of water, and dilute it with a bunch of fruity, syrupy, sugary crap makes you look like a freaking dipspit. That drives me absolutely crazy when I see that.

    Sorry, back to the topic.

I agree with Wallace, I have two vodkas in my freezer ... Grey Goose and whatever is cheap at the time, one for drinking straight and the other for mixing.

Hardly anything angers me. I'm usually super mellow, but ruining good liquor really grinds my gears. We had seen a group over the weekend ordering all Kettle One and Grey Goose cocktails mixed with juices, grenadine and 7-Up and we started talking about what a waste it was. I was drinking V.O. last night, so I was reminded of it.

Whiskey or Rye and Ginger with lemon or lime.
GOOD vodka mixed with GOOD OJ. Say what you will about mixing high quality spirits, but I buy fresh squeezed OJ (not the from concentrate garbage) to mix with it.
Making a screwdriver with inferior ingredients is a waste of time, and a good way to ruin one of my favorite drinks.

    Also;
SHOTGUNNING PBR IS TOTALLY A MIXED DRINK. Also, Old Style Pil.

    b) Bourbon X Ginger Ale
    c) Beer X Fassbrause (a german lemonade),only when it is really hot outside and I do not want to get to drunk, except this my rule is "No cranberry, no coke, no anything... BEER!"

say what you want, but if i'm making up my Margarita mix, i'm not using low end El Toro Tequila, i at least make sure its Agave Tequila and not just flavored grain alcohol. I won't use anything worse than 1800 tequila. Nothing wrong with using good booze.

If I'm making margs, then I'll use good stuff, nice tequila, brandy, cointreau, fresh squeezed lime juice..But you won't find me making a margarita with packaged mix and patron...that's for sure

Well its a shot but the Red headed slut (mods feel free to change the name if its too much) does it for me. Peach schnapps, jager, and cranberry. I tried the drink version but it was lame. Shots much better. Tastes like that pink medicine you get for ear infections. I believe it was amoxicillin tasted like bubblegum. yummy. And beer would be Warsteiner Pilsner and the Dunkel.

Yes, PBR = Pabst Blue Ribbon...while I agree that it is not a very high quality beer, they are cheap and do contain alcohol. IMO PBR is better than bud light and light years a head of bud light with lime, which tastes like carbonated lime juice and I about threw up as soon as the only one I have ever consumed touched my lips.

For those of you who have seen Gran Torino...If it's good enough for Clint, then it's good enough for me. But seriously, I've never had Stroh's, but as far as light beer goes PBR is the best there is, Miller, Bud & Coors light are all way over priced and taste the exact same. Sure, I would love to drink beers that are $10 a 4 pack every night, but this just isn't feasible. So I stick with beers that are $10 a 24 pack

That's the thing...I do know what I'm missing. Flying Dog, Chimay, Terrapin and Sweet Water breweries are all fantastic(jus what I thought of off the top of my head) and I drink them at every opportunity I get. That's just usually when I'm with my parents or my sister.
