i think i can call these genetic
well today verified 2 years of suspision. this is the second year i have produced the solar balls and last season being the first year and i only produced 1. this year solidifies my hopes! this little girl crawled out of the egg this morning with 3 more little tangerines sitting in the egg, this looks to be at least dominant. ive included a pic of the 1st 2009 solar along with a pic of the female solar from last season. lastly is a pic of there father from last year.

they kind of resemble orange enchis!

let me know what you all think

    thanks-justin

The daddy already shows what they grow up to look like as it must be co-dom/dom.

thanks guys, they do grow up to keep some of there orange coloration but do tend to darken much like other co-doms. to date i have not sold any of this project and might wait to see what some of the crosses look like before i let any go.

    thanks again-justin

That's not an uncommon colouration for normal hatchling ball pythons. Can you post the "normal" siblings (ie the rest fo the clutch)?

They are different from pastels, first look at the heads, not pastel heads also no pastel flames or blushing another common trait. Hard to tell from the photos but not seeing the white lips or greenish eyes either. Definately not a pastel.

I like the dark black contrast on the backs and the enchi like coloration of the dad. I wouldnt be surprised if they prove co-dom similar to the enchi.
