    Desirable spider traits
Im curious as to what you folks personally look for when choosing a spider. I picked one up the other day and I chose her for her pattern, and because I overall like ALL spiders. So I ask, what are desirable spider traits? Thanks!

I look for a clean pattern, light stripe, or band, down their back, and a high white belly.

    Sure let me get it.

Here she is. The picture is a little degraded due to the copy and paste job.

I would think "no wobble" would be a desirable trait.

Unfortunately as nice as they look that is the over riding factor for me.

Pinstripes and womas offer decent alternatives.

I think Spiders are one of the coolest morphs. I had a male but recently picked up this female and she is smoking. She highlighted in yellowish gold and has just the right amount of white. She is great to handle and eats like a monster.

I concur with you, spiders are all awesome, and a wobble just builds character. Mine has that same start to her, shes striped until about halfway from what I recall. Ill let you all know post shed, I cant wait to show her off lol.:gj:

When I chose my spider I picked him for his high white and because of his pattern. I like spiders that have the black stripes going from the back all the way to the belly.

Wow. This thread just proves more and more that Spiders are HAWT.
Spaniard I like how your spider's pattern forms two circles on the back, that's tight.

I am very very picky when it comes to spiders. I am looking for one and have yet to see one for sale that makes me go WOW. (mind you they are all beautiful I am just picky lol!)

I look for high white sides and bright yellow. I like the striped backs and reduced pattern.

I don't have a spider and God knows I pray for one, but anyway I look for a highly reduced pattern with a high white or a heavy pattern and low white sides.

    Re: Desirable spider traits
I look first for a nice high gold color--brown spiders don't appeal to me. Second, the white should be at least medium, I'm not fussed over it being high, but it should be noticeable. Pattern--should be aesthetically pleasing, and thin--it doesn't have to be sparse, but there shouldn't be heavy lines, in keeping with the 'spider web' idea.

Desirable traits in spider will vary from one individual to another, what do I look for in Spider?

High white and no spot ;)

There was a day when I preferred low white, but after seeing the high white, it's so striking that I now prefer high white.

For ME, must be reduced pattern with no spots (although one of my girls has a single spot) and a symmetrical head pattern. Here are my three:

Are there any spiders without the white? I know there are low white and that is what I'd prefer if I was to get one. Just wondering, not up to speed on all the morphs.
