Re: Stretched ears
I've had my ears stretched for about 15 years now. I was up to 1 1/4" but now they're back down around 1/2" or so. I haven't worn any jewellery in them in about a year now.

Re: Stretched ears
im only at a 2g. everytime i strech to 0, my ears bleed like crazy.
-
Re: Stretched ears
it's funny, i had 2G in my ears for a couple years... i took them out for a couple months and my holes closed up so tight that i can't even fit regular sized studs in there?? and i had 14g to start with, so i'm not sure why they disappeared like that...
-
Re: Stretched ears
yea ive had to take mine out twice before to get jobs and they closed a little but never all the way up.
-
Re: Stretched ears
i have 4G's... :) and it hurt soo bad...! i have zero pain tolerance, so i had to get a professional to get them from the regular 20 to a 10.. and the rest i could handle myself.
and i'm a girl.. so i'm allowed to be a baby about it..
of course, i want them bigger.. but everyone says i don't have enough ear lobe.. unfortunately, i think they are right.. :(
but i do love them, and it was worth all the pain..!

Re: Stretched ears

It shouldn't really hurt to stretch your ears. It should only be a slight burn. If it does hurt than your ears aren't ready to be stretched to the next size

another way to stretch the is to go up a size, wait a month to heal then go down a size. It makes your lobes stronger, but it taks longer

Re: Stretched ears
i need to get a piercer to do my next strech. ive been at 2g for 2 years now...
-
Re: Stretched ears
Im at 3/4"
The bottom of my lobe is getting really thin, I am afraid to stretch it more, I dont want it to pop.
I always said that I would never get cut, but I think that I will have to if I want to continue to stretch.

it burned for a couple hours... that counts as pain if you ask me, and i don't like it.. how long is it supposed to take for them to be "ready"? i waited about three or four weeks in between each size.. i was pretty set on not doing it too quickly. and if i saw any blood i was going to be done.
but that didn't happen.

Usually about 4-6 weeks is good. The burning sensation is normal. There should never be blood when stretching. That means you've tore the fistula and it could cause scar tissue making further stretching more difficult. A good hot shower will help with "loosening" up the skin to stretch easier if you're doing it yourself. A good reputable piercer can also do it for a small fee usually.
PS. 9 years of being a professional piercer.. just so no one thinks im just talking out of my a..

Re: Stretched ears
i had heard the shower trick.. and i always took a good long one before trying to go up a size.. i think it makes a huge difference..!

Re: Stretched ears
Dont forget to take care of your ears between stretching. Keep them moisturised, i use coconut oil on my ears and jojoba on my plugs. I use only natural ebony wood.

Re: Stretched ears
I just now went from 6 to 4. One went in without a fuss< and i cant get the other one in, any suggestions?
-
Re: Stretched ears
I usuall take a long hot shower the lube up the plug and if its ready it goes right in.
Did you try using a taper?
-
Re: Stretched ears
I was up to 0 but took them out about 2 months ago they closed up really fast actually and I can get about an 8g in them now with out too much forcing.

Re: Stretched ears
I remember the day I got mine to zero me and one of my brothers got into a huge fight and he ripped my left one out. And its really weird looking if I take my gauges out the hole on the left looks really strange compared to the right one but you cant tell as long as they are in

Re: Stretched ears
I think the small one's are cool but the giant ones are in my opinion make you look like a freak! No offence to people who have big one's.

Re: Stretched ears
Mine are currently 3/4"
This picture is a size smaller than what I'm at, but it's the most current pic I could find....

yeah i'd heard that Indies took a while to heal. before, jobs always prevented me from getting it done, now i'm unemployed but broke.
plus the guy i trust, that is awesome at tats and piercings is 1500 miles away.

No, it just concaves into my conch and hooks back out to the cartilage on the side of my ear.. It's a little busy, but it all works out..

Sounds like my kind of luck.... I have always done things to my ears though, despite boss preferences, but my hair is usually long enough to cover so it's not that much of a biggie..

Re: Stretched ears
I have 2g. I am constantly debating on whether or not to go up to 0, because of my job....I saw these plugs once at Hot Topic once that looked like teeny little tuna fish cans. They were really kewl!

Re: Stretched ears
employers are starting to lighten up about piercings. I remember when I was 16 trying to find a job I had to cut my hair and take all of my piercings out. But they are starting to let you have them at places here now. My last job didnt mind my gauges or my lip rings or anything.

Re: Stretched ears
I've currently got my lobes to 1 1/8" with tear drop opalite plugs. I had to go the extra 1/8" to fit the opalites inside the black ear skins since I like the way the black outline brings out the opal color.
I also have the holes above those dropped down to 0g but I'm not wearing anything in them for the time being. I've got a few pictures of my progress on my myspace http://www.myspace.com/x0hollow0x
Just took this picture:
http://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...054f473c97.jpg
This was the largest I had both holes stretched together before I had to drop down the top holes. 9/16" and 5/8" There was just too much pressure between the two plugs that they were splitting the skin, lots of pain, not cool.

And of course, most of the rest of my piercings:

Re: Stretched ears
3/4 lobes
6 gauge septum
12 gauge snake bites.
septum stretches put lobes to shame.
-
Re: Stretched ears
8 gauge lobes. I was at 6, but I had some swelling. My goal is 0 or 00(i havent decided).

Re: Stretched ears
I don't think I've posted in here yet...
I've got my lobes stretched to 0g... Thought about going up to 00 and have the tapers and plugs, but I've bought so many 0g plugs that I like, I don't want to waste the money by stretching more so they don't fit...

Re: Stretched ears
how do you get stretched ears? do i just pull on the for a long time?
-
Re: Stretched ears
I used to have mine stretched. I think my largest was a 4. They were pretty fun but I took them out after about two years because I got kind of bored of them. It's been a lonnnnnng time since I had them, perhaps I will start again this year.

LOL! I wish...
A lot of people go to professional piercers to have their lobes stretched. You can also buy kits to do it yourself. (If you're not comfortable doing this, it's better left to the pros...)
Basically, you start with a small hole. Mine personally started with a normal 20g piercing like you get at the piercing stores in the mall. I started by moving up to a 14g ring, which is bigger than the 20, but not a huge step up. I just pushed that through with no problem. Wait a few weeks/months for it to heal up, then go up to the next size. Every step up though is a bigger increase in diameter, so the change gets gradually more drastic (if that makes sense). Eventually, you will need a taper kit (like in the pic below). The taper is a cone shape, starting narrow and gradually getting bigger, maxing out at the size you want to stretch to. When I stretched mine, I would put just a dab of lubricant on the taper and push it through, then follow it through with the plug. There's a definite burning sensation when you push it through, but it goes away fairly quickly and is well worth it IMO.

Re: Stretched ears
I am up to 7/8" and i never used a taper in my life. I just move up one size at a time and they just kinda slide right in for me.
