Which should I choose? $100 or two baby balls?

Ok I planned on trading off my big female for a male. I didn't care what it was just a healthy male that i can stand breeding with my other female next breeding season. Now, I posted an add on craigslist in my area stating that i wanted to trade of for a male and blah blah. Now, Two people messaged me. One of them said they can give me two ball pythons. 1.0 Black back and 0.1 normal later 07s. Another person messaged me and told me that he can offer me 100 for her and her tank (20g) Which got me thinking. I might be able to build a nice rack with that money for all my other snakes. So im stuck in a bind now and i dont know what to do. I mean.. I want the other two snakes.. and i want to get rid of all the tanks in my room so that i can get a rack. So.. anyone help me.. please dont tell me that its my choice because i will sit here for 5 years thinking on this and i dont have the time for that. I have two female 09's, one female 08, & a baby king. Now doing get me wrong.. i love the idea of wlaking y the tanks to see them out..but they are nocturnal.. so someone PLEASE! help me..



Now that im thinking about it.. I could buy two beardies or a baby red tail from the pet store close to me... hmm..... PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!! D: I dont want to choose on my own..what would you do in this position?:(

Looks like you answered yourself. Unless $100 is insanely below value, it seems like the way to go since you want to get rid of tanks and can put that money toward the rack system that is better. :)

Take the cash and build the rack.

The BEST possible caging and husbandry you can give, the better.

After you get done building the rack, go out and get yourself a Slurpee, cause you'll have some cash left over:D

I would keep the female and just buy a nice dom or co-dom male, or sell her out right and buy a nice male. How much does she weight, and how long have you had her? If she is a healthy, breeding size female, you can get more than $100 for her. You can also probably find a breeder locally who would be willing to trade a nice pastel male or something for another healthy, breedable female.

I would keep the female and like Jake said buy a nice co-dom
or
sell her for 100 and make a rack, post the tanks on CL and make a little moey to go toward another snake

shes a pretty hefty girl at almost 1750

If you were in canada Id give you 200 for her but with cites across the border is too expensive.

Hmm 1700 g is worth more than 100 bucks if you really wanna get rid of her take black back male ( you can always try prove his genetics and ) and female you can always make couple buck of her or keep her if she is nice but.... IMO If I had nice 1700 g female and I was thinking.about breeding project ill be wait and spend some money for nice codom or Dom male
(you can buy nice pastel or yellowbelly breeding size male for 150-200 bucks) and breed her this winter

Well you already know my thoughts on the subject..though I'm a bit torn between the two myself..lol..I mean yea..taking money for her would be great to go towards a nice rack system..and then selling the tanks off to make more money for more snakes is a GREAT IDEA!..But at the same time..if you get the two ball pythons you were offered..you said I could have the female..so that tempts me to tell you to take the 2 snakes that were offered to ya..lol..but the logical answer I would say is take what cash you can get for her..in the long run it's a better investment..lol

In my opinion, neither of those two deals is perfect. The going rate for females in general is about $100 per 1000 grams of weight, at least after they reach 1500 grams. I would price your girl between 150 to 170. So, offering 100 for her is quite lowball. Throwing in the tank makes it even worse!

Now, the young female in the other offer is probably worth maybe $60 tops. How much is a male blackback worth? If it doesn't add up to at least 150, I would go with none of the above--hold out for a better offer! Don't undersell just to do it quickly.

best answer i have heard so far. Thansk a lot and i told the dude that offered me so little no deal and he got mad. But i know shes worth more than that

You could easily trade a 1700 gram female for a pastel male, ask around.

You could trade a female that size for a proven breeder pastel male.

nevermind someone already said it lol.

I bought two baby beardies before I bought my Ball. It is a good decision to have both snakes and dragons.

it doesnt matter jsut make sure u have either nice and clean i own a beardie as well

I was thinking..If you don't trade or sell Hades by Aug 1st..you could always bring her to the reptile show and see if someone will trade you for her..for a male bp..You might get something nice out of it :0)
