Blood Breeders
First off I want to ask what the husbandry and size differences of bloods and borneo short tails?
And secondly, what are some trusted, quality breeders that I can get either from?

Re: Blood Breeders
STPs haven't been in the pet trade for long enough to have any concrete evidence, but Borneos are generally a bit smaller and more docile than bloods. Husbandry is the same.
I've got a Borneo, love him to death. He's hissed, whipped, and can be a pain to handle, but no tags yet.
Got mine from Keith at The Blood Line. http://www.thebloodline.net/ Highly recommend it. I've also heard wonders about Kara.

Re: Blood Breeders
Hahha, funny you metion that how the borneos are smaller. My biggest out of the bunch is a female borneo het ultra. She is a monster. I'd say they will all fall in the same size range except for the yellowheads. I hear they stay small.

I'm confused by this statement. What do you mean STP's haven't been kept long enough for "concrete evidence", and of what??
They've been kept in captivity for a while, folks like Kara and the Barkers have quite a bit of experience to make definite claims concerning each species "particulars".

:8: OMGOSH!!! Are you guys REALLY pulling a, "My snake is bigger than yours" ?
Just funnin' fellas... I couldn't help it! ;)
Clears throat... now, about bloods. I have a beauty straight from my girl Kara's hands that I love, and I would buy from her over and over again! (Will... if I hit that LOTTO BABE!)
Also, don't forget Tracy at VPI!!! They always have some amazing animals, and her and Dave are some of the most wonderful people to talk snakes with... :)

I'm just saying they haven't been in the pet trade long enough to make definite statements as to CBB blood / Borneo / Sumatran average sizes. Or am I wrong? I have just read so many different opinions as to lengths of these species, whereas with balls the average length is generally agreed. At least from what I've read.

Re: Blood Breeders
I'd say anything from Kara's mouth or anything from VPI is pretty trust worthy:D
If I remember correctly, Kara has been into Bloods for 10+ years, as well as Ryan Norris, as well as others. I think they would know what they're talking about:D
All in all, YES, there are some pretty good figures to go off of as far as average sizes for each species.

Re: Blood Breeders
Speakin' of the devil....my het ultra borneo just ovulated. She was bred to a het ultra. Sorry I didnt put anything in there for scale to show how big this girl is, but you can kinda see the end of my shoe to give some kind of scale.

Perfect health, eating great, and absolutely stunning colors! The pic does him no justice whatsoever. Keith is also great to work with and has some killer morphs. :D Wish I had a bit of extra cash around, he's got some great-looking striped Borneos.

Re: Blood Breeders
There are plenty of smaller quality breeders that are active on bloodpythons.com as well. Check out the "eye candy" forum, search around for hatchling pics, and start sending pms!
