Vote NO on this poll - FL Python Ban
Just in from USARK... As of now "Yes" is winning with 73% of the votes. Vote "No" and let reptile nation be heard - Deadline is 5pm today!

Seems like this newspaper isn't too keen on snake keeping...

I was just going to post this but since I took the poll the link goes straight to the results page. If others can't get it go on usark.org and see if there is a link to it from there. So far its 579-yes & 276-no.:(

the second one was a little more difficult to decide. For the large constrictors i think you should have to get a permit. That will deter the wrong people from getting a snake that they dont know how to take care of or will release into the wild when it gets too large

Unfortunately, FL already has a permit system in place for burms. The people who owned the burm that killed the toddler did not have a permit and owned the snake illegally.

I agree though, now reviewing the second poll a bit more carefully, it's not so cut and dry as the first.

Re: Vote NO on this poll - FL Python Ban
the 2nd asks if it should be made harder,,so the answer is no,as there is no way to make ti harder int he state, without a complete ban on large constrictors, now if there was no permit, then making it harder would be an option

Watch closely as they adjust the results to fit their agenda as they did in a similar poll a few days ago.

72.9 percent say no, now! The other one is a bit more depressing though. *sigh*

However, it's great to see how the reptile community is rallying!
