Who's The Daddy????

Well, my 3rd 4th and 5th clutches are all hatched out now and I wanted to share some baby pics with my admittedly louse camera skills.

This year I set aside Six girls to try some 'Who's The Daddy' clutches. I kept breeding my Lesser and Spider to the group over and over again. I saw them
all lock up numerous times, I also ran my yellow belly through a few times as well, just to make sure the job was well done, I ran my old pastel through each girl once. Four out of the six gave me eggs this year (first time clutches for all of them) two 5 egg clutches and two 6 egg clutches so not too bad for first timers.

These started hatching a little over a week ago so some of the babies are already starting to darken up and getting a bit hazy in preparation for shedding their baby skin. So can you guess 'Who's the Daddy?'

3rd clutch (actually 4th to hatch) Contains..... (drum roll please)... 2.1 Pastel and 1.1 Normal...:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Then of course the 4th clutch (which was actually the 5th to hatch) 2.1 pastels and 1.1 normal... Again :O:O

Then my 5th Clutch which was actually the 3rd to hatch.... Can you guess Who da daddy??? yup... 2.1 Pastels and 2.1 Normals.... As a bonus for a 6 egg clutch, I get an extra Normal male... Yay me.... :confuse:

Man, I tell ya. That pastel of mine must have Ninja sperm. Can you just picture it? All those pastel sperm dressed all in black with their Katinas and throwing stars. Hiding in the shadows and silently assassinating all of those lesser and spider spermatozoon??? Yup, that's gotta be it. :ninja:

I've got one more 'Who's the Daddy' clutch what should be hatching within the next week. Some of you know how badly I've been wishing for some female lessers over the last couple of years, but it just hasn't worked out yet. So if you could PLEASE send me your best wishes and positive thoughts for some female lessers, I'd really appreciate it. :please:

Well, at least they're all nice and healthy babies. And that's the important thing. :gj::gj::gj:

Hehe, way ahead of you there sister. I've saved back 7 of his daughters and one of his sons over the years. His son fathered his first clutch this year (so MORE pastels are on the way) and I've bred the father back to one of his daughters and that clutch should be hatching within a week (so yet MORE pastels...)

I've got a feeling that I'm going to have plenty of pastels this year. :O

Hey, Josh. You were close, I did get an all female clutch... The last hatchling out of my 4th and final 'Who's your Daddy' clutches came out last night So, can you guess 'Who's the Daddy'? If you guessed the Pastel with the Ninja sperm, you would be CORRECT!!!! At least they're nice looking pastels and they're all girls. So the final total out of 22 eggs in 4 clutches is 6.6 Pastels and 4.6 Normals.

I guess I can't complain about that, it was kind of cool getting an all girl clutch, though a few spiders or lessers would have been nice.

Wow, that's some super sperm! Having that many pastels on hand at once could be dangerous, you'd better send some of them here just to be safe! Preferably the females. ;)
