Super Lemon Pastel Piebald
Okay, quick question, I've seen the panda pied, pretty awesome. Love how the super black pastel combines with it. Also seen mojave pied etc. Has anyone done a similar project with a straight lemon pastel (or in my case, a super lemon pastel) with a Pied, breed the babies back to get super lemon pied? Has that been done/can anyone post pictures?
Re: Super Lemon Pastel Piebald

Why did I think the Panda Pied was a Super Cinni Pied?? I must be way off.
Re: Super Lemon Pastel Piebald
That is what the Panda pied is, I'm almost certain
Re: Super Lemon Pastel Piebald
Are you specifically asking what THE panda pied is? (I dont know) or are you asking what makes A panda pied? (Because Cinnies and BPs have the same super, shouldnt both be able to make A panda peid?)

They don't have the same super. :P
For arguments sake at least, the Cinny is very brown in super form and the Black Pastel is almost pure black.
I believe the Panda Pied is a Super Black Pastel Pied. :gj:

Man I can't wait to see the pics of those super pastel piebalds. For someone to call it the Killer Pied, they've gotta be impressed themselves. I'm excited!

I beg to differ a BP bred to a Cinni will produce a patternless Hyper-melanistic animal.
So for argument sake this means they have the same super. In the same way that a Super Mojo and Super Lesser genetically are the same. We know this because when you breed the two together you get a BEL and not a "Combo" animal like a Bee or a Lemon Blast. Now they may not be as strong an example of the super but its still a super. :D
Re: Super Lemon Pastel Piebald
The idea of alleles is part way between being the exact same mutation (probably most if not all the pastel lines) and being different mutations of different genes (like pastel and spider in the bee combo).
Lesser and mojave are an example of alleles - of two distinctly different mutations of the same gene. Some argue that lesser and butter might be genetically the same but lesser and mojave certainly have a genetic difference because they consistently look different even after lots of outbreeding. Also, their homozygous versions consistently look different.
The allele relationship between lesser and mojave is seen when you breed the combo snake to normal and don't get normals or combos only lesser and mojave. It was also strongly hinted at when the lesser + mojave combo was white similar to the homozygous lesser and the homozygous mojave.
