If you like him then I would. What else do you have in your collection? Are you planning on breeding? 250 is about average for what spiders are going for, and you wouldn't have to worry about the stress on shipping a baby. How big is he? How bad is his wobble? He looks nice. I would make sure he is eating an if you have any other snakes you need to make sure you quarinteen him when you get him.

    Good luck he looks nice.

Sounds like a good plan, you may want to see if you can find a spider that is already het for albino though..

He looks like a good deal to me. Decent size, and not bad looking with a good price to boot.

It comes down to personal preference if you like it get it, personally I would not simply because I am very picky when it comes to spiders and I do not like spots on my spiders, I like them reduced. ;)

I was going to say the same thing. Do YOU think it's worth it? If you like a pattern with spots in it, then it may be worth it to you, but not worth it to someone who prefers no spots at all. I'm a reduced pattern nut, so that would not be a spider that I personally would buy - but that doesn't mean it's not a perfect spider for someone else.

well i like the speckel high white plus it eats like a beast so most likely ill get it i just dont want to get a animal shipped and have double the stress and it not eating like my albino female. Plus i wanna do the slow road was thinking of getting a spider het albino but its 100 times better when u do it all on ur own thats my opinion

As everyone has said it's going to come down to what you think it's worth..Don't settle!!! If you don't like it then pass they'll be plenty more where that one came from.

Re: Is this spider worth buying
Again.. Don't settle he's dropping the price not cause he needs the money but rather cause he afaird that its quility is worth 250.00..

I can tell you that a breeder that produces good quility animals can get what their asking all day every day.

DO NOT SETTLE!!! forget the price and look at the animal

Ask yourself is it up to my standards?? I that what I want in a spider?? If yes the pay the man 250.00 and be done if not don't waste his time or your money buying an animal you wont be happy with in 5 years.

Re: Is this spider worth buying
Do you really want that snake????? That is what it comes down to. The price has nothing to do with it, if you are not into that particular snake. But him if you want him, and quit haggleing about money... my opinion. From what I have been hearing female hatchlings are running about 350 so .....

Because the spots make it look "dirty"...

Check out this topic, this is how a nice spider looks:

IF you're planning to make albino spiders, he's not a bad choice--his dark coloration will give you a cleaner albino, and the spots will just add a bit more contrasty markings, which I personally would prefer, since albino spiders have such sparse markings to begin with.

If you're planning to do anything with color, I wouldn't choose him.

i agree with Deb and Rabernet.............when you look at your bp in question, does it look good to you, does your eye pick out flaws, or does your eye like what it sees.......250 for a spider is acceptable....so it comes down to whether or not your like its pattern, temperment, etc etc etc etc....

Sometimes it is life threatening and they cant eat properly.

I dont like that spider I would pass. I bought a spider just for the reason to get het albino's but I think I might just skip and buy a spider albino male.

Re: Is this spider worth buying
"wobble" is a genetic trait apparently passed by the first imported spider. It's not yet known whether the trait can be eliminated, or is tied in with the spider gene itself (much as cinnamons have a pinched snout). The condition may be a minor neurological issue, or it may be an inner ear/balance issue much like that seen in waltzing mice.

A few spiders are heavily affected by the condition, and can have difficulty eating or breeding, but this is rare. Most wobble spiders eat and breed just fine. There's a trend toward acquiring and breeding spiders that do not appear to have the condition in order to try to eliminate it. Some see this as a priority--others, not so much so, particularly since it's not proven that it can be eliminated yet.
At the very least, over time, the trait may be able to be minimized through selective breeding, so that severely affected animals become rare.

If I were looking for a spider and going to pay that much for it I would look for one that was a lot higher quality (better pattern, no spots).
