It was soooo much fun. We got to see a snake "show" which was mainly for kids but still fun. My girlfriend was selected as a volunteer (in the grey tank top holding the retic). We also got to see some juvi vipers being fed and I talked for quite a bit with one of the main workers there.
Overall was a very fun day. I spent a little too much time staring into the blood pythons enclosure and now I REALLY REALLY want one.

I love monkey tailed skinks too - I spent ages hand taming a pair in the shop once and even had them mating and some rotten customer came in and bought them. :P

those turtles make it look difficult.. lol
whats with the pic of the snake (idk what kind it is) that is exactly the same but in two different "colors" or lighting...or what?

Yup, I third the motion that Prehensile Tail Skinks are awesome! I was the only person at the zoo who could handle the one in the education department without being whipped, clawed or bitten. :) Of course, I still had welts on my arms since he used me as a tree...
Those are some nice critters! Talk about an awesome collection. :D I was quite pleased that I could identify 90% of them on sight. I am getting really good with reptile IDs now. :D

I'll definitely be going back again and will hopefully be bringing a better camera to get more and better pics.
There was a couple ball pythons. They were in a very high enclosure that I couldn't reach (I'm only 5'7" :( )
They also had about 77 retic eggs that were incubating. The one worker was going to give me a quick tour of the incubation room but it got really busy so he didnt get a chance. I'll try and get pics next time.

Yup, Reptilia is awesome. They sell neonates on their website as well.
Went there last year when I was visiting my parents up in Holland Landing. That's what finally convinced me to buy my first snake. Have two now, and another coming soon!
I went with my wife and daughter (just turned 3 at the time). It was a slower day, so one of the workers came out and took us on a bit of a private tour. Got to hold a Frilled Lizard and a Boa Constrictor. My daughter still asks when we can go back to the reptile zoo on a fairly regular basis :D
If you are anywhere near Toronto, it's well worth the visit.
